Plumb Slams Reed for Allowing NY-23 Cities to Lose Over $1 Million Annually in House Highway Bill

Cities and surrounding areas in New York’s 23rd congressional district stand to lose over $1 million in transit funding.

“Tom Reed was asleep at the wheel last week in Congress and now cities across the region could stand to lose over $1 million in transportation funding,” said John Plumb, candidate for Congress in New York’s 23rd congressional district. “Reed’s failure to protect much-needed funding for city transit systems across the region costs us jobs and further shows that he is too preoccupied with partisan fights to understand the needs of his district.”

“That’s why my number one priority in Congress will be to put our hardworking families and communities first and finally get some results for Western New York, the Southern Tier and the Finger Lakes Region,” added Plumb.
