Plumb Visits SCOPE’s “Meet the Candidates” Picnic in Penn Yan

U.S. Navy Reserve Commander Again Outlines his Strong Support for the Second Amendment

Penn Yan, New York - Commander John Plumb, candidate for Congress in New York's 23rd district, visited and delivered remarks at the Yates County Chapter of SCOPE's 14th annual Meet the Candidates pig roast at Firemen's Field in Penn Yan. Commander John Plumb also issued the following policy statement on the Second Amendment today:

"I was glad to attend the SCOPE picnic and meet and address a crowd of voters that - just like me and many of my friends - are responsible gun owners committed to defending the Second Amendment. Whether hunting or throughout my 22 years in the military, I have been around guns most of my life and I know there is a lot they can teach us about safety and responsibility. The right of New Yorkers to own firearms is not only engraved in our Constitution, it is a part of our way of life in the Southern Tier and our rural communities throughout New York State."
