John Plumb Attends Dunkirk Economic Development Event, Calls on Congress to Act
“This is great news for Dunkirk and our region,” said John Plumb, Jamestown Area Democrat and Candidate for Congress. “The State’s decisive action may not fix everything immediately, but it’s a step in the right direction.”
Plumb, while upbeat about the State’s action, was critical of Congress.
“While the State has acted, they can only do so much,” said Plumb. “Our area needs a new Congressman, one who will actually work at the Federal level to drive investment in Dunkirk, Jamestown, Olean, Elmira, and the entire Southern Tier, not just show up after all the hard work is done.”
John Plumb, a 22-year veteran of the Navy and Navy Reserve, pointed to his military background as to how he would approach the challenges facing New York’s 23rd Congressional District.
“In the military, it doesn’t matter what your politics are. The only thing that matters are results—which is exactly what the Southern Tier needs right now,” Plumb added.
