John Plumb buoyed by in-district support
“Since entering this race, I have been amazed at the outpouring of support from across the district,” said Plumb. "Our campaign has gotten people from Chautauqua County to Seneca County down to Tioga County fired up."
Plumb, a 22-year veteran of the Navy and Navy Reserve, has dedicated his life to public service, serving in the Pentagon and on the National Security Council after leaving active duty. Plumb entered the race in July of 2015 to unseat a three-term incumbent who entered Congress on the Tea Party wave.
“Our message about jobs and ensuring that our district has a voice in Congress is picking up steam every day,” said Plumb. “The challenges our district and country face are too great for petty partisanship and political grandstanding."
“While Congressman Reed spent last year adding to the dysfunction in Washington, John Plumb has been earning the support of working people, veterans, and folks who are sick and tired of the embarrassment Congress has become,” said Brian Córdova, Plumb’s Campaign Manager. “The Southern Tier needs a voice in Congress — not someone who’s there to play politics.”
