Jamestown, New York – The Buffalo News is endorsing U.S. Navy Captain John Plumb, fourth generation Western New Yorker and candidate for Congress,
over Congressman Tom Reed in the race for New York’s 23rd Congressional District. The endorsement cites Plumb’s service as a U.S. Navy
officer and national security expertise, delivering him the first Buffalo News endorsement over Congressman Reed since he’s been a Member of Congress. The
news also comes leading up to the first debate between Plumb and Reed on WETM-TV in Elmira tonight at 7:00pm.
